All Neighbors Welcome!
Garage Sale is May 14 & 15 Mark your calendar for the 20th Annual Neighborhood Garage Sale to be held Friday and Saturday, May 14 and 15 in a portion of our neighborhood—homes from 4900 to 4400 on Twana, Palm, Bel-Aire, Crestmoor, 47th, 48th, 49th Street & 49th Place starting at 8:00 am to whenever participants want to close for the day.
Plan to sell or shop at this year’s event. This annual sale is highly anticipated and continues to grow. Last year 40 homes had garage sales in this well-organized event and experienced great traffic and sales. Folks come from all over as the sale is concentrated within walking distance and they make a day of it bringing family and friends to shop all the homes that are open.
Some neighbors usually plan to sell snacks, foods, beverages, etc. so we will know more as neighbors sign up for the sale.
Your 2010 Street Captains are meeting and getting coordinated. Homes in the sale area will soon receive a yellow flyer on how to sign up and participate in the garage sale.
The Meredith Neighborhood Association volunteered to help promote this successful annual event after the organizers retired in 2001 and they continue to promote the sale in a portion of the neighborhood listed above.
If you live outside the sale area and have an interest in coordinating a similar garage sale for your part of our neighborhood, please contact Project Coordinator Chris Craig at 270-3878 or chriscraig@mchsi.com for details.
