Who We Are
The Meredith Neighborhood Association was offically recognized by the City of Des Moines, Iowa in May, 2000. The MNA is one of 52 neighborhood associations formed under the umbrella organization known as the Des Moines Neighbors.
The MNA is led by a 10-member board, the members of which are elected for two-year terms. The Board meets monthly and works closely with several commitees to accomplish the goals of the association.

June
Initial efforts to form association from entire northwest area of Des Moines.
November
Boundaries approved resulting in three separate neighborhoods
2000
February
Name selected because Meredith Dairy Farms was located in the area
March
By-Laws and Procedural Rules approved
April
Board of Directors - Officers elected to fill four positions
May
Neighborhood Revitalization Board (NRB) approval of By-Laws
City Council Certificate of Recognition of Neighborhood Association
Incorporation in the State of Iowa approved
May 8
Annual Membership Meeting of neighbors, volunteers, and businesses

Held first community event: Family Picnic to celebrate National Night Out
