Charitable Organization The MNA is a non-profit organization committed to ensuring that Meredith remains a vital community in which to live and prosper. The MNA worked very hard in 2002 to obtain notification from the Internal Revenue Service and the association was determined to be a charitable organization as described in Section 501c3 and is exempt from federal income tax. The MNA is a non-profit, charitable organization retroactive to April 12th, 2000. Donations, contributions and $20 annual membership dues to the association are tax deductable. Effective in February, 2002 a non-profit Standard Mail Rates application was approved by the US Postal Service to mail materials in Des Monies at substantially reduced postage rates.
